The General Studies Department will endeavor to ensure that these modules have applicability in the development of study skills and employability skills. The modules aim to enhance and improve each students skills of acquisition, mastery and applications of humanity and to promote nation building spirit through consolidating and broadening knowledge about Malaysia. For Malaysian students, the modules will be able to generate and promote national unity towards achieving Vision 2020. As for International students, the modules will help to develop an understanding on Malaysian culture as well as communication in the National language of Bahasa Malaysia (Malay Language) which is used in day-to-day conversation with the locals. Students will be able to grasp further understanding in areas such as leadership and interpersonal skills, writing skills, thinking skills and entrepreneurship to better equip them with the soft skills after graduation. Students will also be exposed to develop practical community-minded skills by either engaging on the co-curriculum or community service to the society which will enhance their EQ in attaining their success in their lives and careers.
