Faculty of Science Pump Priming & Equipment Research Fund

The Faculty of Science Pump Priming & Equipment Research Fund was initiated early in 2011 with the aim of providing some degree of flexibility to researchers away from restrictions posed by external grant opportunities. It is particularly useful for new academic staff as they embark on building up their research funding portfolio.

Since its inception, a total of more than RM300,000 has been allocated for funding research projects and attending conferences. It is hoped that this funding opportunity will serve as a platform for researchers to extend collaboration within the Science Faculty and also explore external funding opportunities. This year 11 academics across the faculty have been awarded with research funds.
