Biography
Dr Cheng Shi Hui is an Assistant Professor and Programme Director of the BSc (Hons) Nutrition at the University of Nottingham Malaysia. She is also a Registered Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition (AfN), United Kingdom.
Her academic work spans public health nutrition, food environments, obesity intervention, exercise promotion, and sustainable food systems, with an emphasis on improving health outcomes through evidence-based nutritional strategies. She has been involved in international collaborative research with partners in the United Kingdom, contributing to projects in digital food environment.
In addition to her academic roles, Dr Cheng serves as Chair of the FOSE Faculty Research Ethics and Research Integrity Committee and is a committee member of People, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, contributing to the advancement of ethical research practices within the faculty.
She obtained her PhD in Nutrition Sciences from Universiti Putra Malaysia and completed Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education from University of Nottingham. She is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy, United Kingdom.
Prior to joining the University of Nottingham Malaysia, she taught at the International Medical University. She is a life member of the Nutrition Society of Malaysia and a member of the Malaysian Dietitians' Association.
