University of Nottingham Asia Research Institute-Malaysia (UoNARI-M)

 

The Malaysian branch of the Institute of Asia and Pacific Studies (IAPS) rebranded to University of Nottingham Asia Research Institute-Malaysia (UoNARI-M) was formed in 2013. UoNARI-M joins with the existing branches of the institute at the University of Nottingham campuses in the UK and China. The primary goals of this tri-campus collaboration are to: 

  • promote advanced research in the humanities and social sciences,
  • support and co-ordinate postgraduate teaching and enhance understanding of the Asia-Pacific across the University of Nottingham and in the broader community

COVID-19 Conversations (2020)

University of Nottingham Malaysia Asia Research Institute-Malaysia recently organised a series of discussions called the COVID-19 Conversations. 

Dr Gaik Cheng Khoo and Dr Bridget Welsh, who headline the discussions, sit down with experts from the institute’s interdisciplinary network and look at the broader effects of the pandemic on society, economy and governance. Watch it all here
