On-Campus Medical Clinic

The On-Campus Medical Clinic is operated by Kumpulan Medic, an independent health provider, whereby a fee will be charged for consultations.

If required, the centre is also able to dispense medicines and arrange for laboratory tests.

Student health and safety

The university is committed to ensuring the health and safety of its students. Within your Academic School, there will be one or more members of staff who are designated Safety Officers. You can discuss any concerns that you may have with your academic supervisor.

We provide a comprehensive network of services to support your learning experience.

This network ensures that professional staff are always on hand to help you tackle issues as they arise during your time at the university.

Drug Use

Students are strongly reminded that the use of any illegal drug is against University regulations and students found to be using illegal drugs will be subject to disciplinary action, which can involve a fine and/or expulsion from the University.

Students are also reminded that the trafficking and use of illegal drugs is a capital offence in Malaysia.

Any student with a drug-related problems is urged to seek advice from the doctor at the On-Campus Medical Clinic and/or the student counsellor.

HIV/AIDS is becoming a serious issue in Malaysia. It is transmitted through sexual contact and also the transfer of bodily fluids such as blood.

Please remember that practicing ‘safe sex’, with the use of condoms, can minimise the likelihood of the transmission of HIV/AIDS but it is not a guarantee. The best way to guarantee that you will not contract this disease is to avoid sexual activity unless you are certain that your sexual partner(s) is/are free from the infection.

If for any reason you come into contact with the blood or other bodily fluids of a person who may have HIV/AIDS, please report it to the doctor so that appropriate monitoring and treatment can be administered.

Any student infected with the HIV/AIDS virus, or if one suspects that they may be infected, should discuss the issue with the student counsellor.
