Economics Essay Competition 2019

The School of Economics, University of Nottingham Malaysia campus, is organising an Economics essay competition. 

The topic of the essay competition is: “Trade war between the USA and China: Who gains? Who loses? Does Malaysia stand a chance to benefit?” 

The essay competition is open to all pre-university and high school students in Malaysia. The following prizes will be awarded:

First prize:       RM 1,000.00
Second prize:    RM 800.00
Third prize:      RM 600.00
3 consolation prizes: RM350.00 each 
The closing date is 12 September 2019, Thursday.

RESULTS

School of Economics is pleased to announce the winners of the Nottingham Economics Essay Competition 2019. 

The judging panel has decided to award the following prizes: 

  • First prize: Koay Yi Ting (INTI International College Penang, A Levels) - essay 
  • Second prize: Daeton How Jie Hwa (Taylor’s International School) - essay 
  • Third prize: Bryan Pek Zong Ee (Taylor’s College, A Levels) - essay 

Consolation prizes (in no particular order): 
 
  • Lee Jun Hao and Aden Tan Shen Yeh (Hin Hua High School) - essay
  • Tan Kai Yang (Hin Hua High School) - essay
