Randall Gyebi from Ghana, studying MEng Civil Engineering
UNMC was an opportunity for me to experience something new and learn more about Asia as a whole. I decided that if I can get good education and international exposure, it’s a win-win for me. My study experience at UNMC has been singular. Coming to the study in the University of Nottingham, I anticipated world class education, which I am getting, but I never anticipated the plethora of great experiences that comes with it. From scuba diving on beautiful islands, eating a variety of great Asian cuisine and learning the languages of the expansive international community - it really has been amazing. University life has helped me adopt a more open approach to many aspects of my life and it is creating infinitely more options for me and a greater sense of appreciation for the people around me. My time at UNMC has quite literally been a life-changing experience getting good education, meeting some amazing people and experiencing Asia at its best. Definitely an experience that should not be missed.

Students from Africa are usually required to complete a Foundation programme, prior to entering a degree programme.
Download the Foundation international entry requirements list here.
Students who have completed an international pre-university qualification such as A levels, IB, SATs (both SATr and relevant SAT subject tests) Australian/Canadian matriculation are eligible for first year entry into a degree programme, and can find the relevant entry requirements by searching for their course.
Students holding degrees from universities in Africa may be admitted on a case-by-case basis.
Applying for MPhil/MRes/PhD programmes are slightly different. Students have two routes to gaining admission:
a) Students can pre-apply, by submitting their research proposal and academic transcript to the supervisor of their choosing (find a supervisor by looking through the 'People' tab under the relevant school or department) and putting in an application after the supervisor has approved their research.
b) Students who have no preference of their supervisor can put in an application online immediately
Students from parts of the African continent are required to submit additional documents when applying for their visa process.
