About the colloquium

The Centre of Excellence for Green Technologies (CEGT) of the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC) is inviting participants to the 4th Postgraduate Colloquium in Environmental Research (POCER). POCER 2017 is also supported by National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT). POCER aims to provide a platform for postgraduate students to engage in discussions with fellow researchers on their works in environmental research. The theme for POCER 2017 is: "Green Technologies: Innovations, Challenges and Prospects”, and will take place during 25-26 July 2017 in Melaka, approximately 1.5 hours from Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. After the conference, registered participants also have the opportunity to submit extended papers for consideration in the Special Issue of Clean Technologies and Environmental Policies (Springer Nature with 2016 Impact Factor: 3.331).

This biannual postgraduate colloquium was first initiated in 2011, and has since expanded to a wide pool of participants from China, India, Philippines and Taiwan. Specifically, POCER wishes to bring together postgraduate and early career researchers, to encourage exchange of ideas and issues amongst peers, as well as experience-sharing from more senior researchers.
