Introduction

The 8th International Conference and Postgraduate Colloquium of Environmental Research (POCER 2026) aims to provide researchers, particularly Early Career Researchers (ECRs), with a dynamic platform to showcase their work and engage in meaningful discussions. To further support their professional development, the conference will feature a pre-conference workshop designed to cultivate essential skills for impactful research and career progression. These workshops will cover key topics such as grant writing from idea to impact, equipping participants with practical strategies to secure funding and align their proposals with institutional and industry priorities. Additionally, a session on life cycle assessment (LCA) will provide hands-on guidance on evaluating the environmental and economic implications of sustainable materials, particularly benefiting those working in climate adaptation and circular economy models.

Beyond academic discourse, POCER 2026 will facilitate engagement between researchers and industry professionals, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. The conference, themed "Weaving a Resilient and Sustainable Future", brings together experts and researchers to discuss and explore solutions for vital environmental issues.
