Summary
The NAA team, in collaboration with the School of Education and the School of Media, Languages and Cultures, is pleased to announce the launch of the first Performing Arts modules, which will allow students to complete the full programme within the NAA Award:
- NAA1637 - Performing Arts (Applied Performance),
- NAA1638 - Performing Arts (Creativity and Design) and
- NAA1639 - Performing Arts (Leadership and Management).
The modules focus in three key areas of the development of a Performing Arts production: Performance, Design and Management. Students with a passion in Performing Arts will be able to develop their skills through their active engagement in a series of guided rehearsals, workshops, mentoring sessions, career consultation and individual practice leading to their active participation in the public performance of a selected full-scale production.
Students will produce a Reflective Log, summarising their contribution to the agreed production, and providing a critical analysis/reflection of the experience, and how it can align with or influence their prospective career goals.
The three modules can be taken independently or in succession, and can be combined with other modules to complete the full Award. The modules are open for all students at the UNM, under the NAA programme; however, please note that seats available are limited, and that in order to participate, you will have to actively engage in one UNM Performing Arts production, under the direct supervision of the module convenor. Students, upon module enrollment, should seek the convenor’s signature to complete the registration.
