Spanish

Spanish-1

The Language Centre is committed to teaching high quality European languages, and Spanish is no exception.

El Español, or Spanish, is considered to be the world's third most international and influential language on the Internet after English and Mandarin. Also known as Castilian (Castellano), it is spoken officially in 21 countries and widely used in countries like the US, Western Sahara, Philippines and Morocco.

Taught by a knowledgeable and diverse team of language tutors from various countries, the Spanish language is one of the most popular language modules taken by our students.

The Spanish team’s style of teaching and methodology uses a communicative approach based on real case scenarios. Student's also acquire all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing to enrich their linguistic and intercultural competences. Due to the diversity of our Spanish language tutors, Spanish students have an opportunity to learn from different spoken accents and cultural backgrounds. This, along with a proven teaching structure, provides a rich learning experience and an opportunity to have the skills to communicate with more than 500 million Spanish speakers in the world.

Official exam preparation

The Diplomas in Spanish DELE are official qualifications certifying the degree of competence and mastery of Spanish, granted by Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Professional Training of Spain.

The DELE Diplomas will be considered the official qualifications to acknowledge Spanish language competence for any professional or academic activity which requires an appropriate level of competence.

Furthermore, they are complementary certifications to the programmes of statutory education in foreign languages in many countries and institutions, and they are also instrumental in aiding personal promotion in all academic areas and professional spheres.
