Assistant Professor Gayathry Venkiteswaran from the School of Media, Languages and Cultures was named as member of the pro-tem committee on the formation of a media council for Malaysia. The membership to the committee was announced by the Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Gobind Singh Deo on 16 January 2020.
