Managing and leading teams for events

About

Every year, the campus runs a two-week International Summer School programme which attracts students from across the globe to experience learning at UNMC. This year, the programme will take place from 21 June to 4 July 2015.

We are looking for student ambassadors to contribute to the programme under this 10-credit NAA module. Programme ambassadors will receive remuneration, along with accommodation and meal vouchers during the two-week period.

Goals & training

The module leading and managing teams for events aims to help students develop a range of skills in managing and organising activities for small to medium group participants. As part of the module students will be required to assist the UNMC International Summer School programmes as ambassadors. Programme ambassadors will be the face of the summer schools and as such we are looking for students who are creative thinkers, well-motivated and have excellent time management and communication skills as well as being team players. Broadly, students in the module will be directly involved in the designing and planning of activities for UNMC International Summer School for participants from around the world. This is excellent opportunity for students to take part in an truly international event which has a significant impact on UNMC as well as your own skills and abilities.

Places for the module are limited and we are after only best possible students/candidates. As such the module will have a two stage selection process consisting of an Individual Expression of Interest and a selection panel.
