The Department of Civil Engineering provides world-class accredited degree programmes recognised by international professional bodies. The Department offers an undergraduate course, MEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering, and postgraduate courses, MPhil in Engineering and PhD in Engineering.

In our Department, students will learn key topics such as structures, geotechnical engineering, hydraulics, and surveying. Our curriculum emphasises both theoretical learning and hands-on experience through site visits, field trips, and guest lectures by local professionals. Through our partnerships with industry leaders, such as MES Asia Sdn Bhd, Global Water Consultants Sdn Bhd, and Allied Environmental Consultants Malaysia Sdn Bhd, we have secured exclusive research grants where students are encouraged to participate.

Our students can explore cutting-edge research and laboratory facilities, which include preparation and testing facilities, state-of-the-art surveying equipment, fluid mechanics labs, and design studios equipped with CAD and BIM technology. The Department’s focus on innovation and green engineering equips our students to address future global infrastructure challenges.
