Students will take 4 compulsory core modules and have the flexibility to choose between 6-7 optional modules tailored to your future undergraduate pathway or current subject interests.  To complete this programme, students will need to take a total of 10-11 modules, which is equivalent to 150 credits.

General entry requirements
SPM/ GCSE/ IGCSE Minimum 5 Cs required (excluding Moral Studies and Religious Studies). Consideration will be given to relevant subjects.
IB Middle Years Programme 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, excluding the Personal Project. Consideration will be given to relevant subjects.
A Level  DDD, excluding critical thinking and general studies. 
STPM  C+C+C+, excluding Pengajian Am. 
UEC  5 B6s, excluding Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese language.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the duration of Nottingham's Foundation Programme?
Nottingham's Foundation Programme will take 1 year (2 semesters) to complete with intakes in April and September each year.
What are the entry requirements for Nottingham's Foundation Programme? 
You will require a minimum of 5Cs in SPM, O-Level or equivalent, however entry into our Pharmacy programme requires 5Bs. The minimum English requirement is IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.0 in each element.  
What are the tuition fees for Nottingham's Foundation Programme?
Malaysian students will pay RM35,000 and international students will pay RM38,000. Please check our tuition fees for the latest figures.
What is the coursework-to-exam ratio in Nottingham's Foundation Programme?
Nottingham's Foundation Programme offers students a range of modules with differing ratios of coursework-to-exam from 40% coursework-based to 100% coursework-based. 
Does UNM offer scholarships for Nottingham's Foundation Programme? 
Yes, we have the Foundation High Achiever's Scholarship for academically oustanding students, offering a 10% reduction for the NFP tuition fee.
Does UNM offer this programme on a part-time basis?
No, Nottingham's Foundation Programme is only offered on a full-time basis.
Can I apply to another university after completing Nottingham's Foundation Programme?
Yes, you can transfer to another university if your application is accepted by the university you’re applying to. Please check with the university in advance before applying for Nottingham's Foundation Programme.
