Is the Civil Engineering programme in UNM accredited?
Yes, our Civil Engineering programmes are recognised internationally and accredited by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and the UK’s Joint Board of Moderators (JBM), which includes institutions like the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), and The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT). Our graduates can also pursue further professional qualifications, such as Chartered Engineer (CEng) in the UK.
What facilities and resources are available to UNM’s Civil Engineering students?
Our Department provides state-of-the-art laboratories for our students to explore, such as our geotechnical, structural, and materials testing labs. Students also have access to the latest software for computer-aided design (CAD) and finite element analysis (FEA) as well as library resources and online databases.

Are there scholarships available?
Yes, the University of Nottingham Malaysia offers a range of
scholarships for high-achieving students, including the High Achievers’ Scholarship and
Dean’s Excellence Scholarship. Student can also apply for external scholarships like the JPA scholarship,
PETRONAS, and Yayasan Khazanah.
