Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What does “Fixed Fee” really mean?
At UNM, “Fixed Fee” means that the tuition fee you pay is locked in based on your enrolment year, and it stays the same for the entire duration of that specific programme — whether it’s Foundation, Undergraduate, or Postgraduate.
So, if you start a 3-year Undergraduate programme in 2025 at RM42,000 per year, you’ll continue paying RM42,000 each year until graduation — with no annual fee increases, no inflation adjustments, and no hidden costs like lab or registration fees. This gives you long-term financial certainty and helps you plan with confidence.
What is included in the fee?
Everything you need: tuition, registration, exams, library access, lab usage, IT resources, and campus facilities like the gym and sports halls.
Are there really no additional charges?
That’s right. No hidden charges. Plus, parking and campus shuttle services are also included.
How do I apply or get more information?
What happens if I change my programme?
If you switch to a different programme, the tuition fee for your new programme will be based on the year you make the change — not your original enrolment year.
What if I defer or take a study break?
If you return after a deferment or break, the fee at the time of your re-enrolment will apply.
What if I extend my studies beyond my current level (e.g. pursue a postgraduate degree)?
The Fixed Fee Guarantee applies to the specific programme you enrolled in. If you move on to a new level of study (e.g. from Foundation or Undergraduate to Postgraduate), your new tuition fee will be based on the enrolment year for that programme.
Are any fees excluded from the Fixed Fee Guarantee?
All core tuition-related fees are locked in. However, certain non-academic or third-party service fees (e.g. visa processing, certification fees) may vary.
Can I still apply for scholarships or financial aid?
