Biography

Dr Simon Lau obtained his PhD in Information Technology from the Multimedia University. He started his career as an analyst programmer for technology consulting firm MSC Technology Center. Following that, he had been part of the R&D team at Panasonic R&D Center Malaysia (PRDCM). Thereafter, he had more than 15 years of research and teaching experience with Multimedia University, Xiamen University Malaysia, University Technology Sarawak and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in software engineering and computer science, specializing in context-aware computing.

Expertise Summary

His current research interests include building predictive model for energy consumption and financial assets price using machine learning techniques. He is also currently a certified HRDF trainer specializing in data analytics.
