The Department of Applied Psychology at The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC) was launched in December 2006, and is a fully-fledged academic department within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. The Institute was designed to promote the contribution of applied psychology to occupational and public health and safety, and to the management of related health services.
There is great potential for growth and development in applied psychology in Asia, and as part of the University’s internationalisation plan it is envisaged that the department at UNMC will become a Southeast Asian leader for research and teaching.
