Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have faced numerous challenges and a Pre-Budget Statement mentioned that Budget 2023 would implement comprehensive reforms to address this issue, to boost Malaysia's competitiveness and resilience.

Students from Borneo wins economics essay competitions for two consecutive years
Description
Students from Kota Kinabalu, Grace Wong Szee Enand Agnes Lim Hai Thong have won the annual economics essay competition organised by the University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM). The duo is A Levels students from Institut Sinaran Kota Kinabalu who co-authored the winning essay. Last year, Gwendolyn Chan Hui Pei, an STPM student from SMK Batu Lintang in Kuching, bagged the first prize.

The Malaysian national team comprising University of Nottingham (UNM) Year One, BSc (Hons) Economics student Loh Nicole along with Raja Rajeswary from International University of Malaya-Wales and Winfrey Kong from University of San Diego, emerged as global champions at the Unilever Future Leaders League (UFLL) 2021, Unilever's annual flagship business case competition that was conducted on both a national and global scale.
