Exam Structure and Fees

The exams are designed to assess your practical communication skills through four components, listening, reading, writing, and speaking with each graded out of 25 marks. Choose the level that matches your French proficiency and prepare to showcase your abilities confidently.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

When and where can I collect my DELF/DALF diploma?

Diplomas arrive from France Éducation International around two months after the exams. You can collect yours at the FASS counter (EA30).

What to bring:

Exam month and year (e.g. June 2025)

Your IC or passport for identification

Signature upon collection

If you can’t collect it yourself, a relative may collect it on your behalf by showing a copy of your IC or passport.

How do I know which DELF level to take?

Your current French module at UNM will guide which level suits you best:

After French 1A/1B → DELF A1

After French 2A/2B → DELF A2

After French 3B → DELF B1

If you’re unsure, speak with your module lecturer and they can advise you based on your progress and readiness.

How can I prepare for the DELF/DALF exams?

Preparation materials are available at the Library and Language Studio (EA22). You can access books and resources for the Tout Public (17+) format.
