Through our Inter-Campus Transfer Programme, you can choose to complete your remaining years of study at our campuses in the UK or China, graduating with a globally recognised degree while gaining unforgettable cultural and academic experiences. 

Students are required to complete the first two years of study at UNM, then transfer to the host campus for their final year, subject to course availability at the chosen location. Tuition fees for the transfer year will be charged according to the host campus’s fee structure and must be paid in the local currency of the respective campus.

How It Works 

  1. Apply in February – Applications open 1–28 February each year.  
  2. Initial Results Review – Your first semester results are used for assessment. You must obtain a passing mark of minimum 55% - 65% (depending on the programme) in order to apply.
  3. Maintain Performance – You’ll need to sustain your average 55%–65% passing mark (depending on programme) in the second semester in order to progress. 
  4. Approval – By both campuses UNM and UNUK/UNNC.
  5. Start in September – Successful applicants begin their new journey at Nottingham, UK (UNUK) or Nottingham Ningbo, China (UNNC) in September.
  6. China nationalities transferring to UNNC will not be possible.
  7. MEng Electrical & Electronic Engineering – Field, Waves & Antennas module is offered in Year 3 only in UNM. This module is required if you wish to register under Board of Engineering Malaysia Electrical.
