Eligibility Requirements

Entry Requirements

All study abroad applicants must have completed at least one year of study at their home university. The minimum academic requirement is a GPA of at least 3.0 (or equivalent).

English Language Requirements

If you’re from a non-English-speaking university, you must provide proof of English proficiency (e.g. IELTS or TOEFL results).

 

Fees

Tuition Fees

Study Abroad students pay tuition fees directly to the University of Nottingham Malaysia. Please refer to our  Tuition Fees page for the latest rates.

Application Fees
  • Malaysian Applicants: RM200 per application
  • International Applicants: RM400 per application*

*Subject to 6% Sales and Service Tax (SST). 

International students are encouraged to pay via Nottingham Flywire for secure international transactions. After payment, email your proof of payment to International Student Support.

 

How To Apply

Follow these steps to apply for the Study Abroad Programme: 

1. Get approval 

Contact your home university’s Study Abroad Office and Faculty Office for approval.

2. Complete the forms

Submit both the Undergraduate Application Form and Module Preference Form.

3. Prepare supporting documents
  • Official academic transcript (certified by your home university)
  • High school transcript (in English)
  • Copy of passport (biometric page included)
  • Proof of payment (application fee)
  • Nomination letter from your home university
  • Completed visa documents
4. Submit your application

Email all forms and documents to International Student Support before the deadline.

Visa and Immigration

Students must apply for a Student Pass (Visa) through Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), with assistance from the UNM Visa Office.
