Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What language modules can I take and does UNM offer any English language support for students?
We offer foreign language modules in French, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, and Mandarin. Through integrated modules and free-standing workshops, we also provide English language support via the
pre-sessional and
in-sessional courses.
What is the difference between a BA in Education (TESOL) and a BEd in TESOL?
The BA in Education is a 3-year programme while the BEd in TESOL is a 4-year programme. Both students of BA and BEd programmes will undergo a similar learning experience in the first three years but BEd students must complete a supervised 1-year practical teaching experience in an international school to graduate.
How are the language classes taught and what kind of support can I expect from the school?
We emphasise interactive and immersive learning experiences. Students benefit from access to our language labs that support practical language acquisition through hands-on activities and technology-enhanced instruction. The programme offers a personalised approach, expert instructors, and cutting-edge facilities designed to support learners at every level.
